Angels - Do you believe they help you in times of emotional or physical crisis?
83The Angel within us
Do you believe in Angels? Not necessarily the obvious Angelic beings that are portrayed in the Bible. There are many different interpretations of what they actually are, and whether they came down to Earth. But take away the religious context, and ask yourself the question, Angels, do you believe they help you in times of emotional or physical crisis? And what does that actually mean?
First of all let me explain what I mean by Angels. There are the obvious ones, with large white wings, and Heavenly aura, and other similar, but with slightly different interpretations. And then there are those that are a lot more subtle. Angels are sometimes another word for an unseen Being. Or maybe a ghost of a long lost relative. Even a stranger who suddenly appears, just as you are in danger, and maybe saves your life, then totally disappears back into the crowd. The latter are real people. But why were they there at that exact time? Did an unseen force point them in you direction? Maybe they were going to the movies and suddenly 'decided' to go by a different route, therefore being in the right place at the right time.
Your Inner Mind
For example, you are going to work, and being late, you run across the road. Suddenly there is a hand guiding you to safety. You look around but nobody is there. Is that an Angel? Or is it just your subconcious mind seeing the danger and halting your muscles so that you don't run under the car! What do you think? There are many books on the subject. The only trouble is, many of them lead you to believe that everything that happens, is like the story above. Automatically, your Angel keeping an eye on you.
Subconcious
The subconcious mind is a very powerful thing. A recent study showed that, your subconcious mind actually works four seconds before your concious mind can see danger. In other words, if you are indecisive about what you are about to buy in a shop, your subconcious has actually already given you the answer four seconds before you decide! So is that the answer? Well, yes and no.
Subconcious and Danger
So we now know that our 'secret' minds, are actually working ahead of time to keep us safe. We know this is true because we have all driven to work, walked across the beach, run up stairs or even crossed the road without actually being aware of what we are doing. Especially first thing in the morning. Many of us are suprised to find ourselves pulling into the office car park without actually being fully aware of how we got there. Our minds have been 'somewhere' else. Either thinking about what we are going to buy for dinner, or how to save up for our vacation. So, we work on Autopilot. Four seconds is a long time to help us notice danger. Try counting for four seconds, and see just how long it is.
So is that the answer? Are Angels just our subconcious mind saving us from an accident? Maybe.
But what happens if we are not in danger?
There have been many times when something happens that is not within what you would call the danger zone. Take this senario. A woman always pushes her baby in the pram, along a wide stretch of road to get to the park. One day she has a really horrible feeling, and decides to go the other, longer way. When she gets there, she can see, across the park, an ambulance. After talking to someone, she finds out that, at the moment she would have been walking that way, a car had mounted the sidewalk and hit a pedestrian. Did and Angel save her and the baby's life? If not, what was it?
Our Five Senses.
We all have five senses. Smell, touch, sight, hearing, and taste. We know how they each work. Some are more powerful than others. But what if we have 'Super' hearing, etc? By Super hearing, I mean that as in the example above, maybe the woman with the baby actually 'heard' the car in the distance, and subconciously realised that there was something wrong with it. Even though it was a mile away. Sounds bizarre? Maybe. What about smell? Did your subconcious smell the fire that was in the house three blocks away? Sounds fantastic I know, but maybe it is an area of science that we haven't covered yet.
Impossible to Explain
Now we have covered all the 'Super brain' theories, let's get to the crunch. Not all Angel sitings or feelings have a scientific explanation. I am a great believer in Telepathy. There are many tribes of people living in the world today who take this seriously. If you look at it in a scientific way, the brain produces electricity, and without going into how Atoms work, let's just say that it is possible that we can 'hear' our sister calling to us just before they phone. We have all mentioned someone, then a few moments later, they either ring us, or we bump into them in the supermarket. I am trying to clear away all the other explanations for Angelic appearances. So, I think that's it, unless you can think of another one!
Now we come to the main point. Angels.
When I was a baby, my mother always placed me in the cot beside her bed. The cot was never moved, and I had been sleeping in it for about 10 months. One day, my mother ran up the stairs, grabbed me, and literally shot out onto the landing. At that exact second, the roof just above my cot, fell in! Two seconds later, and I would have been marmalade! How on earth did she know? Her explanation to me later in life was, 'I just had this most horrible feeling'. Another time, when my mom was in the R.A.F. She decided, for some reason unknown to herself, that she wanted to change shifts with someone else. That meant taking the nearest weekend off compared to the next. Just as she was about to ask someone, a girl who she worked with, said 'Can we change weekends?' My mom was pleased and headed off to go on leave. When she returned on the Monday, the Conning Tower, where she worked had been completely blown away by a bomb. Suffice to say my mother was mortified and relieved.
And last but not least, another weekend leave arrived, and just as she was going off duty, the officer in charge told her off because she said 'Your skirt isn't correct, go and change it'. So, my mom went and got changed. When she eventually got out, she realised that she had missed her lift. Every week she hitched a lift with an American service man, who drove a lorry. Luckily she got another lift, and on the way back to her town, to her utter shock and grief, there was the lorry half way up a tree where it had been hit once again by a bomb. I believe for some reason, an Angel was looking after her. At that time, all she could think about was her friend driving the lorry.
A Hole in the Road
A few years ago, while talking to a friend, she mentioned something that had happened to her. This is her story.
'Me and my sister were coming home from a night out, and knowing the road really well we were driving along at a steady speed. The road at that time of night was nearly empty, so we picked up our pace and were going really fast. We just wanted to get home to bed. Suddenly my sister screamed, 'look out', and I looked to where she was pointing. There, in the middle of the road, was a woman. She was waving her arms about, and thinking that there was something wrong, we pulled up to stop. Taking our eyes from the road for a few seconds to open the doors, we noticed to our surprise that when we looked back, the lady had gone! There was nowhere to go. The road was surrounded by a large open field and trees in the distance. When we went over to look at where she had been standing, to our horror, we found that there was a massive hole in the road! If she hadn't stopped us, we would have had at the least, a nasty accident. To this day, we never saw her again, she just disappeared!'.
So, Was a Guardian Angel keeping an eye on them? What do you think?
Theresa Cheung
If you are interested in Guardian Angels, Theresa Cheung has written a series of books telling her story of how Angels influence her life. In this book An Angel spoke to me There are many real life stories of how Angels touched the lives of normal everyday people. I was really engrossed, it is a fascinating look at how we know little of the Angelic realms around us. Great Reading.

Nell you always impress and this one brings up the most interesting, meditating thoughts. There is no question but that the sub-conscious mind holds many deep, deep mysteries yet to be discovered by human-kind on this earth, as you've pointed out with the recent study. You should believe in telepathy as you possess it, in my opinion. Your friends can only say thanks for 'where-ever' your mother's presentiment came from. Many know, however, there are other realities to be discovered outside ourselves. Wonderful hub Ms.Nell.
Great stories...I believe there are angels...ones that are sometimes seeable...and some that are not.
Such a relaxing and wonderful read--my opinion I don't believe there are a thing such as "Angels" but I believe in a higher spirituality--but regardless--beautifully written
I definitely believe in angels. I have had several instances in my life, that I would put down to angelic help. It usually seems to happen when you most need it.
Thanks for a very interesting and uplifting article Nell.
Oh, should add this: Ever since I've been a small boy there's been a blond, middle-age, kind looking lady wearing a crown that sits in a room and smiles at me. She's always sitting in the corner of the same room but never says a word. She's appears in my thoughts rather often like a reassuring friend and I've always considered her my Guiding Angel.
Good morning Nell
Yet another excellent article. I call it that "small inner voice"; perhaps all it is is instinct. Whatever, I believe if we can learn to listen to it, we will always have the answer.
up/useful and awesome
This is so fascinating, Nell! I had an experience not too long ago that I had to classify as my guardian angel coming to my rescue (either mine or my daughter's). Or it could have been another spirit - who knows?
We were at a funeral home (my husband's aunt had just died), and I was running after my two-year-old (holding my infant in my arms). I was trying to make my way down the front steps. I looked down, and I knew I had missed a step, and I was terrified I was going to drop (or otherwise injure) my baby. Suddenly, I felt like I was literally being lifted up, and then I got set back down rather hard with my feet and butt hitting the steps. I was a little sore afterwards, but we were all okay.
I cried grateful tears that day!
Thanks Nell for the beautifully written article.
With humans being 90% spiritual beings, the existence of angels or other spirits, whatever we call them, makes total sense. I have experienced times in my life, when I most needed help and guidance, and that help from an unexplained source arrived.
Once you experience this you never forget.
You always write something memorable. Your thoughts stick with me everytime I read your hubs. But, there is no memorable link to click...I voted up and awesome!
Hi Nell, I do believe in the 'unseen'. Whether it is angels or God himself, sometimes I wish for something (tangible or not) and it happens in the exact way I picture it. There are also times I can tell when something is going to happen.
My most recent experience is telling my fiance that I felt a strange vibe from my brother-in-law and a day or so later he did something that indicated that he was having bad feelings towards us. I could go on but that would take all day.
Great hub!
Beautiful, Nell, and so timeless. To be aware of the Angels that help us throughout life is a gift of blessings.
Oh, Nell, what an awesome hub! Reminds me of something that happened to my son maybe a year or two ago (time seems to fly), but hard to relate so will just say, we all have different takes, but some things do transcend the "coincidental" - of that, I have NO doubt!
Nell, I absolutely believe in angels. I have had many experiences where I've known things about people or that I had no way to know without a guardian angel or God guiding me. I do not believe in coincidences. I also believe in telepathy. This is a really awesome hub that I enjoyed immensely. Praying it up and beautiful.
Yes, I believe in Angels. There are so many mysteries that remain unexplained that require a degree of faith, but I have witnessed situations where I asked for help and received it immediately in an emergency. Once, I stopped on the highway to catch a beautiful German Shepherd stray running beside the road. When I couldn't get him into my car I looked up and there was a kindly older man standing right by my car door. He asked me if I needed help then lifted the dog into the car. When I turned around he was nowhere to be seen.
This was a beautiful and thoughtfully expressed hub. Very enjoyable read.
I'm always happy to see when someone else has these experiences because things like this have happened to me throughout my life. I don't think Angels are just to keep you from being hurt, although I think that's when people are most likely to acknowledge that they received help from an outside source. Whether they are angels or spirits or universal guides doesn't really matter to me; I believe. Thanks for a lovely read, Nell Rose!
Hi Nell, wonderful hub, I absolutely love angels and I do believe in them - spiritually, it is something that helps me to survive and fascinates me too. I tend to be a rather cynical person in many ways but there are things that we can not scientifically explain away. Wings or not, I am lost without my angel! Thank you for sharing this Nell, another great topic!
What did Shakespeare (Hamlet) say? “There are more things in heaven and earth than are dreamt of in your philosophy.” I also believe there are more in our brains and subconscious mind than are dreamt of in philosophy. Very interesting hub, Nell, especially what happened to you and your sister. Take care.
Nell this is the strange thing about it: I went to a big Methodist church for kindergarten but do not remember ever going into the side of the building the room is in; yet the room she appears in is like...I've known it forever. She has an almost ethereal look and a very kind countenance. Thank you Nell for asking.
Nell, I can honestly say that i don't know if there are Angels. I want to believe they exist. I am a skeptic. I question anything that i can't see. I have a Sister (Eva) who believes, her Husband was in the Hospital, critical, she was lying in her bed, the light above her head blinked, the telephone rings, it was the hospital telling her he had just died. She believes without any doubt that it was his Spitit/ Angel. Whatever, i really like this article. There are many things that i'm interested in, ie, Reincarnation, afterlife. I do believe in God. I also believe that someday we all will know answers to many questions. Man this is a thought provoking Hub!!!!
Cheers
Hi Nell, I really like this one! I've heard it said that angels were just demons in drag. Some people now, are proclaiming that what you may think an angel, is actually a being that arrives on the planet via ufo.
I'm not saying one way or the other. I just know of my own experiences, and never will I speak about them.
The waters can get very deep with it. I do believe that our brains are definitley a battery reciever of such. Lj
Oh yes, I voted this one up for sure. Cheers! Lj
Hi, Nell. This is a very thought-provoking hub. While I don’t believe in the typical “angels with wings” beings, I do believe that there is far more to reality than we are normally aware of. I also believe that occasionally we can connect with other layers of reality. I’ve had a few interesting experiences myself! Your statement "I do believe in something, not sure exactly what it is though!" is exactly the way I feel!
Nell, this is a beautiful hub with wonderful stories. And yes, I believe in spiritual beings, call them angels, guardian spirits, faeries...and they do interact with us in many ways - like the one that intervened with your friend on the road. I've had experiences like that too - too close for comfort sometimes! (one came in the form of a trucker my family likes to affectionately call "crazy eyes" who saved us from what we believe would surely have been our uhaul truck in a pile up on the highway)
You always know how to tell a great story and respectfully keep it light hearted and spiritual at the same time. Voted up/awesome and beautiful.
Fascinating topic. I have not had any real encounters with angels, but my mother and her mother did - when my grandfather was dying. Neither mentioned it until years later. It seems the angel came to them just hours apart . . . I love the idea that angels keep us safe.
Terrific hub Nell,
I would have to say that I believe (in more of the biblical sense) there are angels. Whether they are here to give us a message or to protect us, I think they are around.
Very interesting reading! Thanks for sharing!
A great hub Nell with the message that there is much more to us than meets the eye. Could you entertain the idea that the angel in your story is Nell? Could the angel in that cot have spoken to her mother that day to save her Nell? Could the angel have saved her mother the day she changed her shift? Why do we always try to find ways to give others credit for what we are? You Nell are the angel you imagine is outside of you!
Another great hub again from you my friend,
I do believe in angels and I know that there have been so many instances/situations that they have helped me out...the part where you say your mom picked you up from the crib..me and my son have scenes like that..I do believe its their guardian angel working as mother's instinct that doe it. Love reading books about angels and how they have worked for other people too..I hope an angel is reading this right now and gift me with a Theresa Cheung book about angels...Congrats Nell, you did good again with this very inspiring hub.-Renee
A great hub Nell and yes I believe in angels without a doubt .
This hub Nell is a gem and this is what HubPages is all about.
Beautiful and unique topics.
Take care and here's to many more hubs to share.
I push all buttons on this one.
Take care
Eiddwen.
Nell, I just have to comment on Spirit Whisperer's comment. I really never thought of Angels in that light, but it's a beautiful thought that might be. Now i have much to think about again.....
Nell ... I enjoyed reading your hub. It reminded me of a story my husband tells about crossing a road totally lost in thought when he felt a tiny hand on his shoulder nudging him. He woke up from his daydream and there was nobody there but a car zooming down the road which would have hit him. The Angel in him protecting him, I guess.
A wonderful hub. Gee! Your mom grabbed you just before the roof fell in on you. That had to be God, or angels. God Bless You Precious heart.
Hello Nell; It's been months since my last visit to read your Hubs, all to my own detriment. I've been where I have needed to be to do the things which I do to support others in need. You have a vast and loyal following and i was sure that i would not be missed. My personal time has become greatly limited by my business obligations which are unfolding well.
Your visit to read one of my Hubs put you forward in my concious mind and then I read your comment on Erin's recent Haiku Hub where I commented and was following. Now, here am I witnessing more miracles in your life and your mother's which have carried you to this point and time. The Hand of God or Mother Earth or the Spirit of the Universe is proven by an historical presence as the Hebrews believe. From the beginning of time, at the four corners of our globe, separate groups and societies of homo sapiens of diverse ethnicity have concluded that there exists a spiritual presence and authority in this world. Family, clan, tribe and town have embraced various belief systems which are not substantially different. Only DNA records and reproduces such common traits among us. The bulk of our DNA genomes are shared with other animal species. Birds, fish, aquatic mammals and man all migrate by instinct, orrrrr by design. We all make choices and all the herds are culled. Only man kills his own species needlessly.
Good and evil is unique to humanity - the higher order! We KNOW so little of the spiritual realm and yet know so much of what motivates acquisition by people because that is profitable.
I believe in God-incidence rather than coincidence, as do many others. Both angels and man are extensions of the Will of God in my belief system. We are each others' spiritual connection with a common human consciousness which is joining as one as technology marches forward.
I'm glad that your mother was saved to save you as an infant. You are an angel and speak your own testimony of how truly special your existence has become. Your words are always touching and knead one's heart. Thank you.
Great hub Nell,Yes I do believe that something watches over us.I often feel it.It is great to be able to believe it because it gives you comfort and makes you feel safe.
Hi Nell, I would say that your mom has been protected by her guardian angel. Great stories! I was just reading a book how the subconscious mind is wherein lies our soul. I'm all about this stuff ever since my husband passed. I wanted to know where he went and if he communicates to me through nature or my subconscious and how could I know when it's just my imagination or really him. I know he still exists in spirit and that he's home now! Thanks for writing on an important subject! Cheers my friend
Some like to think we have a built-in self preservation. Others, that something simply can't exist if it can't be explained. But, I don't believe it is just all up to chance. That perhaps maybe we have instint as animals do, but of a greater power. My instints tell me there is the possibility of angels. Having lived through a few ordeals myself, which nothing else could explain it. : ) Loved the hub Nell...great job!
I do believe in angels. I have lost so many loved ones in my life that I have to believe they are angels watching over me.
Hi Nell :)
I was a bit surprised you didn't bring up your own beliefs, as I believe you are a believer, but perhaps this is the type of article to be neutral about and let the reader decide. With that being said, I believe God uses people for sure to be inspirational and help others and as far as angels..well I believe that is God's way of helping us from harm whether you call it angels or not but in the Bible it says the Angel Gabriel appeared to Mary to ask her if she was to be the Mother of Christ, and she said Yes..so yes I'm sure there are angels, God's beings that he uses as he does us to help and protect and even help convert others...Nice story and article.
I do believe in Angels:) they are the people that are in heaven looking after us. They are Jesus's helpers in heaven.
Absolutely do believe in angels. I’ve been helped out of some serious physical situations by a person/entity who was present one minute and gone the next. Gone like in a puff of smoke. I'm inspired by your hub to write done some of those experiences. Thanks voted this one up
If you have room for one more fan, Nell, you can add me to the list. Wonderful!
Wow, I never thought I get to the end. You are not Michael Jsckson, are you? Now, your hub. Brilliantly written as always. I do believe inangels and had a great experience. I wrote a hub about it. I know my guardian angel looks after me.
There are indeed Angels and God has sent them but that was in the Old Testament times before Jesus left us the Holy Spirit who lives inside Christians and helps in times of need, our link to Heaven you might say. The closer we are to God the more help the Holy Spirit can be to us for when we do wrong just like a child we sort of want to hide from our Father, so kind of hard to ask for help. Hope that all makes sense to you. People could put a dozen reasons to why your mom was there to prevent your death and I would say just a miracle for our Rose. Maybe there are plans for you yet.
Beautiful Hub!!! I do believe that God gives each believer a guardian angel to watch over them. Especially when we pray for others, God sends angels to protect them.
I'd like to believe it - at times you just have to think something is greater than us and that someone's watching over us in spite of all the crazy stuff we do - as people and as the world! I sure hope so!!
Where were the Angels when Adam and Eve needed them?
Yes, I have had too many miracles to not believe in Angels. From the days of my youth, I believe I was visited by an Angel while sitting in a bar. He looked at me as if to say 'what are you doing here, wasting your life'. It was predominantly a black bar, he was a white man, with a straw hat, blue suit and when I looked away from him for a second he disappeared. I have had other mystical angelic intervention when I was in danger. So yes, I definitely believe in angels. They are God's messengers sent from on high to warn us, guide us and help us when in danger.
I believe angels are always around us, and usually in what ever form our minds can handle percieving them. I believe we are very well take care of, and you made very good points, and know some of this to be true myself. :)
I came from different religion, but I do believe in God and do believe he will send his angels to save me in any situation when i need it and sincerely ask for it. I don't have great story to tell others how miracle things happen in my life. But its true, there is God and there are angels. As always, just like your writing, Nell Ross. Its good inspiration. Voted up
I do believe angels or spirits are keeping an eye on us and help out when they can. Enjoyed reading as usual.
A beautiful hub Nell that encompasses the best of spirituality and the secrets of the mind. You don't have to be "religious" to believe in angels. As you say, it's all in the way we interpret miracles. Now if only my guardian angel (or precognitive voice) would stop me from putting my foot in my mouth, causing trouble :)
What a Beautiful and Thought Provoking Hub Nell. I've always felt that my mother was near in times of Stress or Unhappiness in my life. Sometimes I feel she sends her message of Love when I see a Monarch Butterfly. When she died, I dreamt we said good-bye for we were not able to when she died...Maybe she is My Angel. I look forward to follow your Hubs Nell.
I so enjoyed reading this hub, Nell. And loved the story about your Mom!
I believe that our ancestors as well as higher forces do watch over us and sometimes we can hear their cautionary voices.
Very inspiring hub. I believe Angel. I do believe that angel always guide me, even if I have an emotional or physical crisis. I hope this hub will increase our spirituality side...amen. Well done, Nell. Rated up!
Prasetio
Nell, well you did it again. Another fantastic hub and subject. I really enjoyed the stories about your mom and the stories other hubbers wrote about.
Thanks for sharing
Tina
peace
Another great write up Nell Rose. I believe in angels. I believe that all of us have an angel inside of us that wants to reach out to help others.
rorshak sobchak
There have been enough experiences in my life to say that either angels or some combination of angels and the subconscious mind are at work. Sometimes when I decide to pick up a particular item or take a particular route if that choice is a "life-changing" choice. It always makes me stop and think but seldom do I redo my choice. Thanks for a stimulating discussion on this subject. WB
Hi Nell, interesting hub. When we go on autopilot we are actually in a hypnotic trance, so our subconscious mind is in control - and it can do a better than our conscious minds! But I also believe in divine protection and that we get help from our guides and loved ones in the spirit world.
It's all about manifesting the powers of the universe by means of positive thought and drawing energy from the cosmos.
There is also something to be said about the 'self-trance' when we go on "autopiolot," as mentioned by the previous commenter--even my psych prof. spoke about that...you know, when you're driving home over a familiar route, and all of a sudden, you're 3 miles down the road closer to home, and don't remember seeing your usual landmarks....
An angel can also be just a person who happens into your life when you need them most...my current husband is my personal angel; my soulmate. ;-)
As for any other kind of "angels," I don't believe in angels...or demons either. Like angels (positive energy), demons are simply bad sprit energy/negative thoughts or nasty, evil people (think Hitler, et al).
Interesting hub--voted up.
I believe there are Angels looking out for us... Ive experienced it in my own life sooo many times and I am truly grateful to these guardian beings for protecting me and guiding me, with this great energy of love and selflessness, through messages from people, circumstances and events.
They are v real.
Up/beautiful
Enjoyed your hub. I believe in angels and often talk to them. I also believe that when your time comes your time comes and not even an angel will be able to help you it's God's will.
I apologize Nell, I was discussing the angel thing with my husband and years back we studied the bible together and although I knew of the scripture about helping people out for you may be entertaining Angels unaware but he has informed me that an angel freed one of the apostles (he thinks Peter) from prison so I am so wrong, there are visiting Angels today although it would be my opinion that this would be for a reason and something to think about. The Holy Spirit inside us is for our sake and faith in living but if a physical thing needs done He would still need or for whatever reason, use, an angel? It would keep miracles and magic well separated. Worth looking into if I ever get an extra minute. So just wanted to say sorry to God and you, and so glad to know this is true. I want to believe in today Angels, I do, I do! So now I can.
There are so many things we don't understand about our access to other dimensions that "unexplainable" events could be explained by any of the possibilities you describe.
My own cosmic assistants - can't really call them "angels" - tend to be mostly utilitarian by nature. Keeping me out of stressful situations rather than yanking me from death's door. My car keys will mysteriously disappear from their normal spot, and by the time I've found them (in a place *I* couldn't possibly have put them), I'll have missed being stuck in a traffic jam on the freeway. Or a car will *just* be backing out of the parking spot closest to the store I'm going to, saving me having to drive round and round the block. That sort of thing.
Absolutely. I have been told many stories of people seeing angels in time of need. Although I have not had this experience, I think GOD does send us the help of his angels when He knows there is a need for them.
What a wonderful article! Thanks so much for sharing it with us. I definitely believe in angels and I always tell people to ask them for help.
Angels or not, we have to feel blessed and special from time to time while we are here. It's hard to know what or who helps us at times. I have met, on occasion and unexpectedly of course, people who seem extraordinary in their kindness and helpfulness, who seem to possess a kind of knowing, who look right into my being and have me think they are 'special' messengers, special people. Are these 'angels' - people with 'extra' ordinariness, who go beyond the call of duty and share their humanity in a way that is breathtaking and inspiring?
Thanks for the hub and for provoking such a great response from so many - truly inspiring.
Loved this Hub :) Ever since I was a child I have believed in Angels. I swear up and down I used to see them as a child, as well. To this day, I think I hear things that aren't there or I have "gut" feelings about things and make an opposite decision.
Great hub Nell. I like to believe that something always has our back. In times like today, Lord knows we need it. I can say one was with my son when he was born. I know he was watched over. Powering and moving hub Nell.
This is a beautiful article Nell. I am using it as a backlink in the article I am posting later today. I wrote about my guardian angel experience. Perhaps you may be interested in reading it.
Hi Nell. For some reason I could never get a good url that would let me publish my hub. So I blogged about it instead. You can read it if you want to at: http://carolynsands.blogspot.com I even mentioned this hub you wrote for others to read. Thanks.
Excellent Hub Nell! I stumbled across your profile and at first I couldn't decide which Hub to read; they all look terrific. After reading some of the titles I chose this one in hopes that I could share it with a friend who is going through a tough time right now. She and I both believe in signs, angels, and intuition. Voted up and sharing.
Great hub about a great mystery. I had a similar experience with an angel in the road. She looked sad. And then she was gone. I have had other encounters, one at a filling station, many in situations where I know my life was saved. Up and interesting as always! Have a lovely Thanksgiving!
You have had some very interesting experiences with the extraordinary. Glad they have been, for the most part, positive for you and that you have the gift of being able to write about them to share with others.
Hi Nell-I loved this hub because it's comforting to think there are angels that watch over us. I believe in angels because my late parents, brother and other visits have happened to me. None of us will know exactly how much is our brains versus the spiritual angel but either way, it's comforting. My twin sister was awakened one night shortly after our mother died. She saw a bright light coming towards our bedroom. Once the light came into the room, it took shape and was our mother in a white wispy flowing dress. She told Laura that all five of us kids would be ok. She died of alcoholism and my dad at that time was still drinking heavy. We had tough times but knowing mom came to tell us it would all be ok and work out, was very healing and comforting then and years after.
Hi Nell, Thankyou for sharing your Hub, I'd just like to add that years ago I had to go into hospital to have a major operation, and at the time I was working to pay my rent, I was so worried that I wouldn't heal in time to get back to work. That night, as I lay in bed, half asleep half awake, I turned and there stood the most beautiful Angel with wings, she was pretty, blonde, and all I saw was this face and wings and then she was gone the minute I saw her!.....It was a sign that all would be right and she would be looking after me, and I was, and back to work in time. There was another occasion when I was married, but I am going to write about it in my hub. It's about a demon that came to me in an icon.
I KNOW there are angels, and demons, and no one on this earth will every tell me otherwise.
This is beautiful. I have seen too much to not believe in angels. This past Christmas my family and I went to a very elaborate church service with an astounding choir. They began to sing and my then 2.5 year old daughter got very excited and stared at the balcony. She started saying angels, angels.. She never used this word before. It made me cry in church. I believe!
That was fascinating and profound and you had my attention all the way.
I enjoy reading about Parapsychology, because my sister has always said the strangest things happen to me---and it is true.
Thank you for writing this---you are great as always.
I thank my Angels ever time I start my car to leave home, and ask them to protect my family also.
Thanks,
Your Hub Friend,
Bobbi
Hello Nell. :) I'm smiling thinking of bunches. I like what you have shared. Bringing many thoughts to mind and enjoying reading others experiences too!
What comes to mind is the movie with John Travolta - Michael. Particularly the scene when he goes dancing and he smells like cinnamon to one and something else to others. A great scene with the soundtrack by Aretha Franklin.
Another is the movie with Nicholas Cage & Meg Ryan - City of Angels. Sounding odd, I really don't believe in Angels, since I know there are Angels.
(Long Pause) - I think I will reread your article :)
My mom believes. Her email address has the word angel in it, and then a random number after it. When she signed up -the system gave her some weird number so she calls that her angel number :-) I believe most of the time. But sometimes coincidences do happen. And even if you have an angel-still sometimes things won't go the way you would have chose. Angels work in mysterious ways :-) Great hub, Nell.
Nell, my sister is a big believer in Angels and has done Angel card reading for me etc, not sure I believe it all but I do find it very, very interesting and I quite like the idea of having 'super' senses to pick up on paranormal activity.
Very interesting hub, voted up n shared.
Yes - I have personally felt the strength and support from a source I can only think of as The Angels. I feel there are forces around us that, if we are open to it, we can tap into and allow to help us when we are in need. As mortals, we call them many things (the good ones are called Angels), but there's something there, for certain.
Now that is amazing, and you experienced some of it first hand! There is no doubt in my mind that there is more to life than we understand, and maybe one day we will understand it in a way that makes it no longer mysterious.
lol, yes I have been busy reading your hubs on these subjects. I love this stuff and have always been fascinated by these topics :)
Thank you for sharing your experiences. Recently I have become much more open to angels and 'asking for help' and it has made a big difference to my day to day life. I feel like I have much more faith and trust in the universe, and it is really nice to see things working out well as a result.
Fascinating tale! Well written too.

Very spiritual hub. I truly believe that we are surrounded by angels who always want to help us.
