Black Holes - The most Amazing New Theory concerning our Universe.
82
Is our Cosmos one of Billions?
I have just watched the most amazing TV programme about the latest theories of Black Holes. A Black Hole is a point in space that until recently has only been theoretical,
this means that even though it has been observed by taking pictures of exploding stars
and surrounding galaxies, the only way to see it is to observe that fact that, where the stars used to be is now just a dark patch in space.
There have been many ideas about what this means, in fact Albert Einstein dismissed the fact out of hand and said it was not likely that there was anything like that, and at that point in time, the technology was such that it was impossible to argue with him.
Over the last few decades we have come a long way to being able to observe the stars and surroundings.
And what they have now found is amazing.
According to scientists, our Galaxy with the sun and planets, including Earth and Mars has at it's heart, a black hole.
What's more is the fact that not only has our Galaxy got one but they believe that each and every Galaxy that is observable from earth, and the one's beyond have each got a Black Hole at their centre.
What does this mean? Well the best explanation is that a Black Hole is a bit like a waterfall, if you stand on the edge of one you can see the water pouring down with immense power. This is what happens with a Black Hole.
Instead of water, it sucks the surrounding objects into it with immense gravity. Because the gravity is is so powerful everything can fall in but nothing can come out. Scientists call it the Event Horizon.
Now that scientists have discovered Black Holes in each Galaxy, the believe that the size of the Hole is Relative to the size of the Galaxy. i.e. if the Black hole was say, two miles across, the Galaxy around it is about the same. Obviously on a much larger scale.
At the centre of a Hole is something called the Singularity. This is the point at which the Gravity is so strong and dense that it becomes tinier and tinier so eventually it remains virtually as a single atom, in layman's terms. This is where Einstein and modern scientists begin to differ. I won't even try to explain the maths behind it because I, like you are not a physicist, but after all the calculations, the answer comes to the equation Infinity. Scientists cannot understand why. In other words 2 + 2 doesn't equal 4 at this point. But does it?
Let me take you to the Big Bang.
!4 billion years ago, our universe suddenly appeared out of nowhere. Some Scientist think it was a single atom that exploded, but where did it come from?
others say something called string theory which is a string of energy.
But what if it wasn't? What if somewhere there was another universe in another place called for example space 1.
If in that theoretical space there were numerous Black Holes, and at there point of Singularity instead of it disappearing into nothingness, it actually pushed through the fabric of space and time into our space as we now know it. A bit like a bicycle tyre when it puntures because of too much air in the tyre. Perhaps that is what happens in space, maybe it needs a Black Hole to relieve the pressure of Gravity. If it did push through the fabric of space and time, this would in theory result in our own Big Bang.
Now imagine if it does it a thousand times in space 1, and now in our universe in our Space?
Can you imagine how many Big Bangs this would produce?
Millions and millions of Space's and universes, branching out from each other, going on for ever, like a giant wheel, or a series of bubbles, each one reached through a Black Hole.
Maybe Einstein in his innocence was right.
Maybe his theory does equate Infinity.

Quite an interesting article. This is very informative. Nice work. Congratulations!
I am fascinated about Univers, Big Bangs, string theories and everything that has to do with the space. It makes me want to live forever just to find out what's all about. Maybe that 'Singularity' realy exists. Could it be God?
Hi Nell Rose, you always write very good hubs, and they are always very interesting. Thanks my friend.:) Great work. God Bless you.
Excellent hub, I too am very interested in this science. Fascinating subject but our own development so far is so limited that it will take a long time before we fully understand even the basics of our universe. OR, maybe, when we do, we won't even recognize our own evolution.
Interesting hub, well written.
I think that if you understand conception, as the microcosm example, then you might understand the big bang, as a macrocosm example.
Everything links - if you understand how the planets revolve around the sun, then you will understand how an electron revolves around a nucleus.
If you understand that where ever there is chaos, there is always order, then you know the chaos theory.
If you understand chaos, then you can imagine eternity.
If you can picture eternity, then you will see black holes.
Just want to leave you with one picture in your minds eye... what do you see if you place a mirror in front of a mirror? You see a one dimensional eternity (or a universe?). Imagine what you would see if you made a mirror in a ball (the mirror would be reflecting inwards within the ball with no joints). I think this is symbolic representation of a universe.
Imagine what changing affects would result if a small hole was made in this ball (or a black hole?). Now image another similar ball with a hole joined to the first ball's hole - another universe? and continue.. continue.. etc Does this make sense?
Fascinating! Bears thinking about, doesn't it? And I suppose all it will do is make us aware just how minute we are in the scheme of things. And how little we know :)
Thanks for a wonderful, thought provoking hub!
Hi Nell, Your last comment makes the most sense of all. Since we are merely on this tiny planet for such a brief episode of time one WOULD think that we could concentrate on more important subjects and learn to better get along with one another. Good hub!
Wow, I really like this. I have always thought about space and black holes. Where do they lead? Is space never ending? How much is really out there? Great hub. :)
It can boggle the mind. It did Albert's anyway.
Neil, you must go see the movie 2012 which is about the alignment of our Solar System with the centre of our galaxy, Milky Way. The centre is a black hole! The incredible gravitational force of this black affect our Sun solar flares and will impact our little Earth in the most disastrous way. I love your writing!
LOL, I think he would have had that hair anyway. Maybe that's why he went sock less though. LOL
There are millions of galaxies in the universe and what if there are millions of universes. Can we ever find out?
This really can get your head spinning.I've alwasy been into astronomy(dad got me into it). This just goes to show how little we really know.
Quite fascinating and also awesome ; the Eternity and the Beginning of times. Astronomy is indeed very interesting.
Compliments for the hub!
I love thinking about these kinds of things
This is the god creation and it show how the God have a power. And we have to know about that. I hope it can increase our spirituality. I think scientists have proof the power of god. thank you very much.
Oh nice its really great information to world the black holl thanks for sharing this information i love it
Really great hub. I'm always pondering the origins of our Universe. It's hard for me to explain some of the theories I read about with my friends/family. I believe that EVERYONE should take a few minutes out of their day to ponder the vastness of the Universe. It would be a great first step towards world peace. :-)
I love this subject. It reminds me of how much we do not know. How we love to feel smart because we can make an I-pod. I'm sure that when the time comes we are able to answer this question it will only raise a hundred more questions. our evolution is slow and we'll probably in all likelihood destroy ourselves before we can ever answer the question.
Nell, there you go again.. making me think. I loved this hub. Thank you
Radiation left behind after the "Big Bang" and the fact that the universe is expanding, support the theory that the universe had a sudden begining. The Big Bang suggests that the resultant universe with its billions of galaxies exist because the explosion was 'controlled'. In other words, if the explosion was not at a precise speed, matter would have collapsed or it would have ripped apart, in both scenarios planets, stars, galaxies, the universe, would not exist.
Scientists ascribe a mathematical constant, the cosmological
constant, to explain this.
As a result of the peculiar electromagnetic forces of the proton, neutron, and electrons, hydrogen atoms, essential for life is formed. Were these forces a tiny fraction different, then either no hydrogen atoms would form, hence no life, or, only hydrogen atoms would form, hence, no life.
All the conditions that exist in the Milky Way galaxy that make life possible have been tweaked. Just minor changes in any one of these factors would make it impossible for life as we know it to exist.
Most scientists presuppose that something real must exist from eternity, to make all of this happen. But, to some of us, the question is not what, but who?
Clearly, the Intelligence behind the universe, has a grand purpose. Only an ancient Book, the Bible offers any real answers. Sadly organized religion, has mis-represented this Intelligent Entity, who gives His name as YHWH, traditionaly
rendered as JEHOVAH [He Causes To Become], in English.
Jehovah has communicated with mankind at various times using His angels and prophets. He has spoken to us about the future {Re 1:1, Hebrews 1:1], using His Son. [Acts 3:22, 23].
I read several years ago that the gravitational pull of a Black Hole is so powerful that even light can not excape. Albert Einstein once said,"...God does not play at dice" in reference to order of the planets in our solar system. The earth's distance from sun is just the right distance to sustain life. Very new and fasinating information is being discovered everyday thanks to the Hubble telescope. Thanks Nell for your very enlightening hub.
if you fall into a black hole will you get ripped streched or tore to peices now can we say this is true. bc if you were to fall in who says you will live to tell the story?
perhaps the universe is the most artistic place in the...universe :))
Wow great hub Nell, guess you sure proved your point, some people are just so full of hate but he doesn't believe in Jesus so it's really no wonder. He doesn't even realize the evil one who is using him.
Hi! There is only one universe existing....
If you mean galaxies for universes, then it's okay.
Being a physics enthusiast, you have to know what is (accepted) science?
For example string theory is not yet science.
It's not yet proved experimentally and so we can't refer string theorem scientifically.
What is this "space" you are talking about in a physics article?
There is nothing like a space alone entity existing in the universe.
It has to be "space-time".
Space and time are not separate; they are inseparable like two faces of a coin.
The growth of a layman to a technical person in physics happens when you understand space-time and start referring the term space-time in place of space and time.
So there is nothing called points in space but points in space-time.
How can you write an article about a black hole without mentioning time in it?!
It's true physicists are excellent story writers.
However, (sincerely not to discourage you) you beat all of them! --Thanks
Black holes looked from that perspecitve could be an explanation of infinity. I, just as Einstein, believe the Universe is curved. So even we can't see the limit, there is always one. Everything that's curved has a limit. Now with the theory of the BH, each Universe become millions more. Something we can relate with fractals.
Interesting hub ! cheers !
wow what an interesting Hub!! Black Holes fascinate me an so this Hub was a treat to me Thank you so much!!
hello nell, great hub about blackholes but i will tell u a intersting point, as our earth is hollow and it has living in the upper earth as well as the bottom hollow earth, and earth has two suns, one for the upper earth and second for the hollow earth, it has been written in many books, so it is like a ball people living on two sides of the earth, we see our sun and they see their sun which is from other solar system we live up and they live down, like mentioned in the famous book alice in wonderland this is the same thing with the universe it is not flat it may be round we see the galaxies and stars from our viewing range and the bottom universes see there , it means atleast two universes not several or they can be, are parellel universes and this blackholes are the connecting point, one more fact is that this parellel universes exist in different space and time so they are not visible to us, and must be the aliens are coming from these parellel universes from different space and time and in the hollow earth aliens are living
I don't think we will ever know the truth. Not enough brains LOL
BTW,It was pleasure to help you earlier ! ;)
Information in this article... regarding The Big Bang" theory.... from one who knows....
“How God Came to Be” & “Who God Is”
God came to be… as a result of evolutionary opportunities; created by consistent inconsistencies out in natural space (a machine, in essence) as a product of happenstance, an anomaly. For many, the word machine is a difficult concept to grasp. We are molecular but then, so is a machine. The only thing that separates us from a rock is the arrangement of particles and the different pressures they are under. Even our consciousness is a product of particle motion and pressure. God knows that it was formed as a machine in natural space and understands that it was a completely random act as far as God knows. God also understands that anyone could have become the first being.
The universal complex as well as all of us, were designed, engineered, and built by God (“altered space”), on the other hand, God was formed from the natural rotation of particles that came together at a certain place and time in natural space to form a machine capable of doing all this that God does. Part of understanding God’s natural evolution is to understand that sincerity and desire are components of natural space and are confined within the laws of physics. Natural space existed before the universe. The particles that comprise natural space rotate haphazardly in a roughly defined geometrical pattern. It is an abnormality but it is not impossible for this process to be slightly altered. Desire is defined as motion with free will. Sincerity is defined as inconsistencies in natural space that become consistent. When sincerity and desire are combined with heat and pressure, particles collapse and eventually, link to one another (particle integration). This process creates evolutionary opportunities. Our very existence proves that a sea of particles existed before we did!
In the case of human physiology, the human body and human consciousness are machines working in similar capacities. Human physiology is a conglomeration of particle chains that rotate in specific directions and are under various pressures, resulting in various particle velocities. Human beings work like machines powered by electricity. Electrons run through our bodies, causing varying hydraulic pressures, thus allowing us to move. In essence, we are a mass of particles that perform specific functions.
Particles in natural space move in a somewhat consistent manner, but it is certainly not at all, mechanical. They are pushed and pulled and misshapen as they make their way from the center to the periphery; but again since there is motion, there is an opportunity for a group of consistent mechanical inconsistencies to occur and this is exactly what happened. Space is infinite and statistically speaking, the chances of this event occurring in time are 100%. This is how the “first being, God” came to be!
When I refer to consistent inconsistencies, I’m talking about planets, suns and beings. These things don’t occur naturally in space. The dense matter that makes planets, suns and beings what they are, happens because the space that surrounds them is putting consistent pressure on them. Without this consistent pressure being applied, that surrounds us, we would simply all become part of the sea of particles in space.
Natural space was void of planets, suns and beings before God came to be. All the materials that make up, what is now, God’s universal complex (now, “altered space” still within the confines of infinite “natural space”), were also present in the vast infinite sea of particles I refer to as “natural space”. The particles that exist in natural space are divided into spherical clusters of particles, one linked to the other. These particle clusters form a geometrical uniform spherical space defined by weight and by the law of physics associated with weight. Since natural space has weight, particle clusters can only be so large; henceforth, particles within the particle clusters can only be so small which limits their ability to put pressure on their centers. This fact alone eliminates the possibility of the “big bang theory”!
The Big Bang Theory
It’s important that we all follow the path of logic, which leads to God. I write these things that I know to be truth because I have seen them with my own eyes. However, it is necessary for each of us to make this trip alone; following the path of logic, and not the status quo, which eventually leads us all to Paradise…
Since the beginning of time, scientists have been trying to theorize how the universe came to be. The status quo’s generally “accepted contemporary explanation… is the big bang theory”. This theory, in essence, speculates that the weight of space induced the natural particles in space to become compressed to such a point, that the internal pressure of these particles exploded and expanded at such a rate that this perfectly functioning perpetual motion machine we call the universe, was created.
However, the problem with the big bang theory is that the weight of space is constant. You need to comprehend that God’s creation of planets, suns, and beings don’t increase the weight of space. They just cause another part of space to become less dense and as such, one part of space becomes denser, therefore; not affecting the weight of space, which remains constant. The part of space that is putting pressure on the denser center will become less. Since this natural mechanistic process exists, the plausibility of the Big Bang Theory of space becoming so compressed as to explode would be quite impossible!
When one knows, they understand that the natural orbits of particles are always moving in the direction of least resistance. These particles will move to the center of a larger particle; only then, to be pushed out again by other particles doing the same thing. Particles can only become so small and dense before they move from the place of the greatest pressure and expand naturally as they are pushed once again away from the center to begin another complete orbit from low pressure to high pressure. This process constitutes “particle orbit”.
Let’s review…
1) Matter (planets, suns, beings, etc.… is condensed space.
2) Matter maintains its form because of the pressure that surrounds it, if that pressure were not consistent; all matter would expand into the natural particles that make up infinite space.
3) Because pressure and particle motion exists naturally in space, evolutionary opportunities exist.
4) The probability of a machine being formed in natural space, capable of creation, in time, is 100%.
5) The “big bang theory” could not have possibly occurred because the pressure could never have become great enough to make planets, suns and beings. The condensed particles at the center would simply have been pushed from the center when the pressure became too great. The process of particles moving to the center and then out again, following the path of least resistance, constitutes “particle orbit.”
One could argue, that this same process could have occurred for all the planets, suns and beings in the universe but logic must prevail; Was it all of us that were created from the natural motion of particles or, was a being capable of creating all of us, created first?
I “know” the answer to these questions but God needs each of us to follow the same logical path that I had to follow. What I mean by this… is, never stop asking questions. Then go within and learn to listen for truth from the heart (not the mind) which is where God speaks the truth to us and truth will always follow the path of logic. Before we can hear God telling us which way to go, we must first stop telling God what we believe and start asking questions and learn to listen from our heart.
Who God Is…
In the beginning, God was without form because God could not see itself, therefore God could not define itself… this came about in time. All things were tried in time and all the laws of physics were eventually known to God. “Gender” became a product of evolution as well in God’s creation and
What are black holes?
There is no such thing as black holes! There is only misunderstanding about how stars and their systems move in space. When scientists finally understand how our own planet moves around the sun in a downward spiral orbit while our sun moves down through space in a shallow orbit; then they will begin to understand the relative motion of the other star systems, which are moving toward us and away from us and in all directions. When we learn how particles move through space, which includes the sun and its orbiting planets, we will then, understand much more about this machine we call the universe.
Particles in space are always moving in a spiral orbit moving from low pressure to high and then back again. However, this pressure exists not just from the outside pushing in but also from the inside pushing out. Understanding these pressures and how they work is the heart of "other dimensional science." Understanding how these star systems move through space, will also accurately answer the questions of red giants and white dwarfs, as well as…the death and birth of stars, which does not exist.
It is true that stars get bigger and smaller as they orbit from one pressure zone to another and consequently, they do change color as a result, but stars do not nova and then disappear. I would love to view a star nova through a powerful telescope, a star nova is a spectacular thing to see but when it's all over with, that star is still there, we just can't see it any longer because it has moved from one pressure spectrum to another!
Currently, the earth is orbiting down from low pressure into high pressure. It takes 12,000 years to complete this quarter cycle before we enter, into the next cycle, which will take us once again… from relative low pressure to high, and we begin another 12,000 year cycle.
The earth and the machinery which surrounds it, work a lot like a washing machine or any machine, for that matter. When you have working parts, the parts of the machine get hot in certain places and so the machine changes gears. It all works like a clock in a way. Pressure builds up and finally moves the minute hand into the next position. This explains the motion of the poles which are shifting, the rising of water, which result in major floods and often permanent water displacement, volcanoes, earth quakes, hot and cold cycles, etc.…
There comes a point where we reach the end of a cycle when the earth is at the maximum internal pressure which exists at the quantum level of space, and it must let that pressure go. It reacts much like a spring that has been wound so tight that it finally let’s go. When this happens… particles, which are attached to one another in long chains, expand rapidly, which causes everything on the earth to expand just a bit; the greatest effect is in the waters of the earth.
Now, the sun is also under great pressure and when we reach the end of a cycle, the sun which has been compressed changing colors as it goes through the different pressure spectrums, expands rapidly. This effect, like the water of the earth, affects the sun in the same manner because of its molten nature. The visual effect is much more spectacular when the sun once again, regains homeostasis. However, we do not see it as it has passed into the next cycle hidden by a blanket of electrons. These huge electron conduits, separate one macro particle structure from another.
Scientists will learn and understand this in the next few years as they continue to put particles under extreme pressure in the laboratory but will understand much more when they discover how to get a frequency signal inside of an electron conduit. When they can overcome the pressure of what I call E. Space and get a frequency signal inside, they will then be able to map the structure of an atomic particle which works exactly the same way as our solar system. Eventually, they will also understand "other dimensional particles" and how they fit into the machine and why.
"What's more is the fact that not only has our universe got one but they believe that each and every universe that is observable from earth, and the one's beyond have each got a Black Hole at there centre."
I appreciate that you take an interest in this sort of science, however it is GALAXIES that can be observed from our own planet, not universes, but our own, which still can only be seen partially through radiation (if looking at its origin)
Great hub! I just wanted to correct something though... you said there's only one black hole in every galaxy. This is far from the truth. I believe you misheard the facts. There is one Super massive black hole in the center of every galaxy. But that's not the only one, there are millions of Stellar mass black wholes in every galaxy. These work the same way and everything they're just much smaller than their Super massive brethren.
He will come and bring order to this lunacy.
I am always fascinated by this phenomenon. Very nice and informative hub!
Black holes are a theory. Stephen Hawkins believe they exist. Pure theory. but I think they are a possibility.
I'm confused, to say the least, Nell. I thought that the word "universe" was singular and generic of everything contained in the vacuum which we call space- THe Universe. I have heard of alternate universes in science fiction. I have only heard of a single Universe which contains billions of galaxies and black holes. There are billions and billions of stars as Carl Sagan was frequently known to say. I have looked at Hubble Telescope videos of "deep Field" on YouTube which captures images 76 Billion light years away. I am trying to understand it all without any physics training. Great Hub. Thanks for trying to clarify these concepts.
If you anything that has to do with the Universe well, your going to like the story I am writing about time travel. Some is fiction some is non-fiction.
I just found your site. the above article is great stuff. Obviously provoked a lot of passionate responses over the past 11 months. I loved reading all the comments as well. I watch/read everything i can find regarding the subject of space and time and there are new and exciting discoveries being made every day. The most learned scientific minds do not have the answers to the many questions regarding outer space, its origin, its workings, and even if it will ever truly have an ending. So it amazes me that some people profess to know more than those accomplished scientists. The greatest question i have regarding all this, is: exactly what kind of drugs is devineadvice on, and how can i get some? L.O.L.
1. a star is made of compressed gasses
2. the star fuses the different gasses, and produce heat, radiation and light
3. as the fuel is converted to heat, light etc., waste products is building up inside the star
4. one day the star dont have any more fuel, and only the waste products are left over, they cannot do nuclear fusion, so they sit there dead.
5. these materials are very heavy, and if the mass is above a certain level, the star begins to collaps under its own weight (implosion)
6. when the matter is compressed beyond a certain level, it goes nova
7. if the center core was above a certain level in mass, it will survive the nova
8. the left over center is called a black hole, it has such an enourmous mass, that it sucks all nearby matter to it, including light
9. depending on the size of the black hole, as it travels in its orbit around the galaxy center, it sucks up even more matter, and grows over time
10. it can happen that black holes eat eachother, and become so big, and collect so much matter spinning around them, that it becomes a new galaxy
that is how galaxies was formed
gas became stars
black holes became new galaxies
and every time another star goes nova, it spits out into space a lot of materials, that can become new planets and all kinds of other things
but if its true that the universe expands in all directions, faster and faster, then logic tells that some day, it will all just sizzle out into nothingness..
:)
Awesome post. really loved it. thanks for sharing such information. truly appreciate.
Makes me wish I had a tv! Enjoyed this piece very much! lilyfly
Really interesting stuff, but who writes this shit?
"they believe that each and every universe that is observable from earth", excuse me. You mean to tell me we can see other universes from our universe?
'Oh, yeah I've totally seen one, haven't you?
What? You thought there was only one universe that encompasses everything that there is, and if you look at the etymology of uni-verse you can see where the idea came from.
Ha, that's mental.'
Come on guys. Get some knowledge. You're misleading the children.
Hi Nell,
Inspiring hub but you keep refering to universe when you should be saying galaxy.
For example: "According to scientists, our universe with the sun and planets, including Earth and Mars has at it's heart, a black hole.
What's more is the fact that not only has our universe got one but they believe that each and every universe that is observable from earth, and the one's beyond have each got a Black Hole at there centre"
Should read: "According to scientists, our galaxy with the sun and planets, including Earth and Mars has at it's heart, a black hole.
What's more is the fact that not only has our galaxy got one but they believe that each and every galaxy that is observable from earth, and the one's beyond have each got a Black Hole at their centre"
I would recommend a re-write.
Hey Nell, I would just like to point out a few things. You stated that black holes lie in direct proportion (in terms of size) to the galaxy their in. Although that may be true, it is not a 1 to 1 proportion. Black holes are generally very small, sometimes only a few 1000 miles in diameter whereas our galaxy is many light years across. Also, you said that the singularity could be viewed as an atom. Well, technically, it can't. The singularity actually needs to be treated exactly like a point. It has absolutely no dimensionality. Anyways, other than that, it is great to see how interested you are! I can feel your excitement when I read your hub! I encourage you to dwell deeper into the realm of physics as it is extremely mysterious and satisfying to discover! Books by a physicist named Brian Greene are great for people without a strong background in mathematics or physics. They can be read by anyone and are really interesting and enjoyable reads. I recommend the one called "The Fabric of the Cosmos".
Is "human culture" leap-frogging through the universe? ;0

Hello, hello, 2 years ago
A really great and interesting hub. I don't think we will ever find the correct answer to all these question
