Halloween Let's Celebrate In Style!

Halloween is celebrated around the World, but do we take time out to plan it? No not always. Unlike other celebration days most of us just buy a pumpkin clean out the inside and stick a candle in it. Bit pathetic don't you think? But some of us actually make the effort to wear a scary costume, or even get invited to a Halloween party if we are lucky. This year why not make it an extra special celebration? Halloween can be fun if you know how to plan it ahead.

So what else is there you can do to make Halloween seem like a proper holiday? The idea is to extend the celebration over a few days instead of just one evening. To start the great day or days of with a bang, lets take a look at a few ideas.

Happy Halloween Cards

Halloween Cards and Costumes.

Everybody loves to receive a Birthday card or Christmas card, but what about Halloween? For kids this will be so much fun. Get them to make their own with lots of glitter, scary faces and if they really want to make someone jump then they can add plastic spiders, fly's and just about any other creepy crawly they want to. Just don't stick the excess spiders in your mom and dads bed! After the initial scream they won't be very happy! How do I know? Have a guess!

We always made our own when we were kids, and one day we took the plastic fly's and placed them in the sugar bowl! I know, yuck! lol! But my dad believed they were real and picked up the bowl and threw it down the garden! We fell about laughing and even our mother was crying with laughter! So yes, have some fun but don't get carried away!

Get all the children to come around and make the Halloween Cards. Let them use their skills and imagination to make Cards, cut out spiders and costumes. For the costumes find out all your old jumpers, trousers and coats. Its amazing what you can do with a pair of scissors and some glue! Make it a party! Loads of music and playing dress up! Moms can join in too!

Halloween Theme Night

Why not go for a Halloween Theme Party this year? Every Halloween children are invited to their friends parties, and they all get dressed up in Witches costumes, fright night, Freddie and of course the most famous of the lot, Scream! This year make it a film theme. Every single person who is invited has to be a character from that one particular film.

Give them name tags and act out part of the film. For example Jason and Freddie! Now that would be fun, or if the children are too young and may be scared, why not go for a Wizard of Oz costume party? That would be great as there are so many different fabulous characters in it.

The host of the party could be Dorothy or if your child is a boy then maybe the Tin Man, and everybody else can choose who they are going to be. You could always do a tombola to draw out the names of the people wearing the different costumes so that way there won't be any arguments!

Use your imagination. Aim for a film that has loads of weird and wonderful characters. From Harry Potter to Narnia.

Make Your Halloween a Spooky Experience With A Murder Mystery Halloween Style

Halloween isn't just for the kids. Grown ups love it too. A good idea is to book into a Murder Mystery Halloween Style weekend somewhere. There are many hotels across the States or Britain that cater for the gory guests who love a bit of horror and fright!

Or even stake out a Ghostly Haunted House! Invite all your friends and have a whole weekend of fun. So just have your celebrations on the weekend.

Go camping if the weather isn't too bad. Make a campfire and tell ghostly stories. The kids will love it, and the adults will probably be scared stiff!

Even incorporate a Spooky Ghost Theme for the countryside. Just don't tell any of the other guests! But please make sure they are not likely to drop dead with fright! We want fun, not an ambulance!

So there you have it. Make Halloween completely different this year. Don't just celebrate for a few hours, get out there and have some spooky Halloween fun!
