New Technology: Apples New iSlate or is it iTablet? Then Meet Pingo the New Penguin Desk Gadget.

What to Call it.
In 2007 Apple took over the domain iSlate.com, and now there is speculation that this is the reason. This new piece of technology is super cool. Evidently it will be keyboard-less, and will be just like the iPhone but much larger. In the halls of secrecy, where all the tech and lab scientists are scurrying about in the dark, scared that their baby is going to escape and be splashed all over the world before they have cleaned it up and changed it's nappy, so to speak, word has leaked out, like it does, that this rather strange looking thing will emerge on the 26th January, at the Yerba Buena Centre for the arts, in San Francisco.
The rumour is that there will be two versions. the seven inch and the ten inch. Steve Jobs, the new owner of said domain, is said to have had this idea all along. Clever man. It is not so much if, but when it will appear, and the main problem seems to be what to call it. What do you think. iSlate, or iTablet?
Am I missing something, or is there a reason that everything is called (i)? As in iPod, I mean. first we had the iPod, then the iPhone, I don't know why, but come on people, think of a really cool name.
Getting back to this little gadget, well not so little, it is called a tablet Computer, and users will be able to surf the net, download books, and even magazines and newspapers. If that is not enough, you will also be able to watch streaming video. Can't wait. it looks like fun. another gadget I can fiddle about with, and fight over. Of course, we don't know the price yet. And that's the thing with gadgets, they can be reasonably cheap or very expensive.
We will wait have to wait and see.

You're not going to believe this, but this funny little thing is the latest techno for you computer lovers, that will keep you company on a cold night in front of the PC. It is a tiny robotic Penguin that will interact with you. It responds to voice commands and will read out the sports results before they happen! Only joking. Got your attention though didn't it? No, really, what it does is still pretty good though. it will deliver you news and read your e-mails. Good? I haven't finished yet. It also will also read the weather. And the best thing about it is that it link's with the users Facebook account. Fancy giving it a personality and profile. Cool eh?
It is also very cute. It comes from mydeskfriend.com and it certainly will be you friend. You won't be able to stop playing with the thing. It can also zoom around your desk top and sing you a song. Seriously! Ha Ha, great.
But the one thing I thought was really, really funny is that he, see I am already calling him 'He', even 'eats' vitamins and food from the facebook gift page!! Ahhh, and you can rock him to sleep. His eyes change colour with the LED lights. How about that.

Ok, this little thing running around on my desk will not survive in my household. First, my little gran-daughter will love it so much she will kill it. I'm wondering why you and I are not coming up with these gadgets - oh yeah - gotta be WAY techno savy...what will they come up with next? Great hub - and I'm still thinking the netbook looks 'awesome' - think I'm a bit behind the times, eh?
